General Pest Control
A general service covers the pests that turn up in almost every home: ants, roaches, spiders, silverfish, occasional mice. Say what you have found and a licensed exterminator can come out and deal with it.

What a general service actually covers
General pest control is a perimeter and interior treatment aimed at the insects that walk in rather than the ones that live in the structure. Ants, roaches, spiders, crickets, silverfish, earwigs, millipedes — the list is long and the work is the same: find the way in, treat the path, treat the harborage.
What it does not cover is the four jobs that need their own visit: termites, bed bugs, fleas where a pet is involved, and a rodent infestation that needs exclusion work. Those are quoted separately because they are different work, not because they are extras.
One visit or a schedule
A single visit suits a problem with a clear start: something came in, it is inside, it needs to go. A quarterly schedule suits a house that gets the same pressure every year — a wooded lot, a creek behind the fence, a slab that ants have found once and will find again.
A technician will say which applies after looking. The honest answer is often the single visit, and a company that only sells contracts is worth a second call elsewhere.
What to say when you call
- What you saw, where in the home, and roughly how many.
- When it started, and whether it is getting worse.
- Whether anyone in the house has reacted to a bite or a sting.
- Whether there are pets, and whether anyone is pregnant or has a respiratory condition — it changes what can be used indoors.
What happens after the call
Ready to call
Say what you have found and where in the home it turned up. That is usually enough to narrow it down on the phone.
